Didaktik, ikt-baserede læringsprodukter og virtuelle læringsomgivelser: teori og analyse

Den 2/11 2009 startede et nyt hold studerende på modulet: Didaktik, ikt-baserede læringsprodukter og virtuelle læringsomgivelser: teori og analyse. Modulet er en del af uddannelsen Master i IKT og Læring (MIL) på Aalborg universitet og forløber hen over 6 uger.

Formålet med modulet er at introducere til disciplinen Didaktisk design, herunder definere centrale begreber som didaktik, design, æstetik, narrativitet og ludologi.
Endvidere er det kursets formål, at deltageren tilegner sig en teoretisk forståelse af virkemidler ved brug af grafik, billede og lyd samt en teoretisk og praktisk forståelse for, hvordan disse virkemidler kan understøtte forskellige typer af læreprocesser.

Som 1 ud af 2 muligheder på det første kursus i modulet (Kursus 1: Didaktisk design, ikt-baserede læringsprodukter og virtuelle læringsomgivelser; teori og analyse), kan den studerende vælge den virtuelle verden Second Life som fokus område for analyse og teori, hvor formålet er at belyse, hvorledes didaktiske forhold understøttes gennem den valgte konceptualisering og implementering.

Jeg har været så heldig, at min gode ven og mentor i Second Life, Marianne Riis aka Mariis Millls, har inviteret mig med som co-facilitator på kurset.Mariis og hendes Pink Elephant

Kurset er et blended learning-forløb, hvor Second Life repræsenterer den virtuelle læringsomgivelse i 3d-form og platformen First Class danner rammen om den skriftlige kommunikation, refleksion og andre tekstbaserede ressourcer.

Kurset skal blandt andet indeholde forelæsninger, turer i forskellige virtuelle kontekster med forskelligt læringsindhold, Workshops, Didaktiske diskussioner, fremlæggelser og meta-reflesioner over  Second Life som en platform for e-læring. Hvilke Læringspotentialer rummer denne virtuelle verden .

Jeg er i forvejen meget begejstret for Second Life og kan nu glæde mig rigtig meget til at give andre en god oplevelse og ikke mindst noget læring og indblik i, hvor meget denne virtuelle verden har at byde på.

Workshop on e-learning 2009

On the 22nd of September 2009 the Danish Ministry of Education is conducting a workshop, focusing on the development of e-learning modules aimed at teachers in primary school (1st through 9th year).

The primary goals of the modules are to strengthen and support the didactical use of ICT in teachings. Furthermore the content of the modules will be based on the new ”Common Objectives” (Fælles Mål 2009), and must be suited to cover the basic specifications of all subjects teached in school.

The modules will be free and accessible on the Internet, and are thought of, as an offer for teachers who wish to develop their qualifications thru independent study or as education workshops for schools and other institutions.

To qualify the development of these e-learning modules a number of special skilled persons participate in a workshop in Copenhagen.

The primary goals of the workshops are:

Input and inspiration to develop the e-learning modules, which support integration of ict in the classroom.

Specify needs of schools, local authorities and teachers that are relevant in the development of the e-learning modules.

How to create a design that develops joint ownership and community on the content, form and communication

The workshop will be a varied thru introductions, lectures and group discussions.

I’m looking forward to participate in the workshop and hopefully contribute with constructive thoughts and good ideas.

Mew Meets Lucca Kitty

Yesterday Mew meet Lucca Kitty in world to a chat on possibilities and problems regarding teaching through SL.
Lucca Kitty is, a programmer involved in the MUVErsLLC-project, which is a “collaborative corporation,” a collective braintrust of experienced educators interested in sharing an umbrella for creative and innovative projects geared to improving education in the real world using the collaborative tools made available in online environments.

We both discussed the difficulties of getting people to use the full potentials of SL due their lack of technical knowhow, but also the problems regarding hardware capacity to run the detailed graphical environments in SL.
If SL is to be used as an learning environment, where you can use and manipulate with in-world contend rather than delivering lectures, the graphical aspects must be improved.

I Poken !

I just received a gift from a very good friend, Peter, the other day. A Poken, which allow users of social networking to share their user information in a very easy way. through a “high-four” so to speak.

The white arm is in fact a USB storage device, which contains the information you put into it. That could be your user name for Twitter or Facebook, your Skype-Profile ect.
When people meet  all around the world they can share these information by holding the hands of the Pokens to each other. The information is exchanged, and when they come home to their computer, they can insert the Poken arm and add these information to their social network…

Very handy…and very nerdy 🙂
